Celebrating Mother’s Day with Love Laughter and Little Hands

The classroom felt different today. There was a quiet kind of excitement in the air. Small hands were busy with glue sticks, colored paper, and lots of heart-shaped cutouts. Laughter filled the room as children created gifts for someone very special, their mummy.

At Malajah Playschool, we believe in celebrating love through action, and what better way to show love than with something made by hand.

A Classroom Filled with Love

Today, our little learners were artists, creators, and givers. They dipped their fingers into paint, pressed them carefully onto paper, and giggled when the glue got a little too sticky. Every mark, smudge, and splash carried a message. A simple one. I love you, Mum.

Some children made cards with drawings of their families. Others chose to create flower shapes and write their own short notes. Even the youngest ones joined in with colors and scribbles that were full of joy.

The results were not perfect, but that is what made them beautiful. These treasures were made from the heart.

Learning Through Celebration

Mother’s Day is more than just a celebration at school. It is also a moment to help children understand the power of kindness and thankfulness. By making a gift, they learn to express feelings in their own way.

They also practiced many skills without even realizing it. They cut paper, followed steps, shared tools with friends, and proudly explained their creations. These simple actions helped grow their confidence, communication, and fine motor skills.

Tiny Gifts with Big Meaning

The best part came when the children gave their gifts. Some ran into their mothers’ arms with wide smiles. Others shyly handed their cards and waited to see the reaction. There were hugs, a few happy tears, and lots of proud faces.

Even if the paint was still drying or the letters were not perfect, it did not matter. What mattered was the love behind each creation. That love was clear, and it filled the room with warmth.

A Message to Our Mummies

To all the wonderful mothers and caregivers in the Malajah Playschool family, thank you. Thank you for your love, your support, and the way you light up your child’s world.

This day was for you. A small celebration of something much bigger, the bond between a child and the person who holds their hand and heart each day.

From the glue on our tables to the laughter in our halls, it was a Mother’s Day we will always remember.
